Junior officer charged over pepper spray

A NSW probationary constable will face court in April accused of importing pepper spray into the country.

A probationary police officer from western NSW is accused of importing pepper spray into the country.

The 24-year-old will face court charged with importation of tier-two goods.

If convicted, she faces a maximum 10 years in jail or a top fine of $275,000, or both.

The probationary constable is due to appear at Sydney's Downing Centre Local Court on April 8.
