The Wanderers' win puts them at the top of the A-League, two points ahead of Brisbane Roar but the latter has a game in hand.
Juric laid a strong claim for selection in the Australia squad for the forthcoming international match against Costa Rica on 19 November with a strong all-round performance.
The Wanderers, as is their custom, were quick to take the initiative and Eugene Galekovic in Adelaide's goal was called into action in only the first minute to stop a header from defender Nikolai Topor-Stanley.
Adelaide somehow weathered the Wanderers' initial assault and even managed to get its passing game going.
After 15 minutes it created a half chance but midfielder Marcelo Carrusca shot carelessly wide from just outside the penalty areas after being given far too much time from the home side.
The Wanderers were more direct in their approach and could have scored twice in a minute when first Juric brought the best out of Galekovic with a stinging drive and Brendan Santalab missed the far post after he pounced on the loose ball.
Crafty Carrusca was proving to be quite a handful for the Wanderers and after 35 minutes he created space for himself but failed to hit the target form 25 metres.
The Reds took the lead 10 minutes into the second half when a shot from striker Jeronimo Neumann got a deft touch from Carrusca on its way into the far corner of the net.
The Wanderers replied with a brisk attack down the right that ended with a cross from Polenz that was met by Juric but his header flashed wide.
Juric was not to be denied because a minute later he made the scores level with a blistering shot from outside the penalty area that gave Galekovic no chance.
The goal sparked the Wanderers into attack and a few minutes later returning midfielder Aaron Mooy's shot grazed the post.
Mark Bridge had another opportunity when he was put through by substitute Tahj Minniecon but the striker completely mis-hit his shot.
Shinji Ono was guilty of a more glaring miss soon afterwards when he shot wildly over the bar after being excellently served by Iacopo La Rocca.
Adelaide was wilting badly and Juric put the Wanderers ahead in the 80th minute when he found the net with a firm header from a magnificent cross by Polenz.
Wanderers coach Tony Popovic later hailed his players' character after coming back from a goal down to take the points.
"It was a great comeback. I thought we played well in the first half an hour then Adelaide came at us," he said.
"My players got a bit nervous after falling behind but they stuck at the game plan to get the victory."
Wanderers captain Michael Beauchamp paid tribute to he team's fans.
"The crowd was unbelievable, they keep stepping up each week," he said.
"The boys worked hard right till the end."
