Karlovic reaches Dutch ATP quarters

Ive Karlovic has set up a quarter-final showdown with Robin Haase, following a straight sets win over Tatsuma Ito.

S-HERTOGENBOSCH, Netherlands, June 10 AP - Fifth-seeded Ivo Karlovic of Croatia smacked 25 aces as he beat Tatsuma Ito of Japan 7-6 (7-5) 7-6 (7-3) to reach the Topshelf Open quarter-finals.

There, he'll face local favourite Robin Haase, who beat seventh-seeded Fernando Verdasco of Spain 7-6 (7-4) 6-3 on Wednesday.

Verdasco had 10 aces, but lost the only service game of the second-round match.
