Kathy O'Hara injured in ATC Aust Oaks fall

Jockey Kathy O'Hara has sustained a broken collarbone and possible chest injuries in a fall during the Australian Oaks at Randwick.

Jockey Kathy O'Hara remains in a Sydney hospital being assessed for injuries after a fall in the ATC Australian Oaks at Randwick.

O'Hara has a broken collarbone, possible chest injuries and concussion.

The Nick Olive-trained Single Gaze, who O'Hara rode to win the Group One Vinery Stud Stakes, came down on the home turn in Saturday's race and fell on the jockey.

Single Gaze got to her feet and suffered superficial lacerations.

An inquiry into the fall will be held when O'Hara is well enough to give evidence.
