Katrina Grant staying at Central Pulse

Central Pulse netball captain Katrina Grant hopes their playoffs breakthrough comes next year after committing to another season.

Central Pulse have retained their captain for the trans-Tasman league after defender Katrina Grant extended her stay by another season.

Grant has played five seasons at the Pulse in an 87-game ANZ Championship career which began with two seasons for the Southern Steel.

The 27-year-old wants to drive the Pulse into the playoffs for the first time in 2015 after narrowly missing out twice.

"We've been so close to making the play-offs these last couple of seasons and I'm looking forward to having another go," she said.

Grant has played 49 Tests since 2008 and is poised to raise her half-century at the Commonwealth Games beginning next week in Glasgow.
