Australia's Maddison Keeney will vie for a second diving world championships gold medal after qualifying for the women's 3m springboard final.

Keeney, who won the 1m springboard world title this week, qualified fifth on Thursday for the following day's final in Budapest, Hungary.

She joins compatriot Anabelle Smith in the last-12 after her bronze medal-winning teammate at last year's Rio Olympics qualified in ninth.

Meanwhile, Australian James Connor placed ninth in the men's 3m springboard.
