Keith Urban has found hosting a television breakfast show a breeze.
On a whirlwind trip to Sydney to catch up with wife Nicole Kidman and their two daughters, the country music star took time out to fill in for David Koch on Seven's Sunrise on Monday.
"I like it. You don't do much, Kochie, do you? A pretty easy gig," he joked.
But that was before he rode a mechanical bull.
So why did he get up in the cold, pre-dawn to do three hours at brekky central.
"I like to do stuff I have never done before. You guys invited me. It was really nice. Thank you."
Koch needn't worry about his job being taken over - Urban is flying out to the US for the next round of his concert tour.
He also hinted he may tour Australia sometime next year.
"That is the plan right now. I don't know when but we are working on it and are anxious to come back," Urban said.
