NRL player Shaun Kenny-Dowall has pleaded not guilty to several assault charges relating to alleged domestic violence.
The 27-year-old has been charged with 11 offences over the common assault and stalking of his former partner Jessica Peris.
Court papers allege Kenny-Dowall, who is on bail, assaulted Ms Peris last October and again in February, March, April and June this year.
He also allegedly destroyed her mobile phone twice.
The Roosters player appeared briefly at Waverley Local Court on Thursday morning, where his lawyer Chris Watson entered pleas of not guilty.
Kenny-Dowall, a member of the Roosters' 2013 NRL title-winning team, has missed the past three club games since being charged.
The Kiwi international has been named to return for Sunday's match against Newcastle at Hunter Stadium.
Kenny-Dowall didn't attend his first court matter because he had been admitted to a Sydney hospital.
He doesn't have to appear if legally represented when his matter is next mentioned at Waverley Local Court on September 17.
