Kevin Jonas: Fatherhood is amazing

Kevin Jonas says he can't stand to be away from his newborn daughter Alena Rose.

Kevin Jonas says he doesn't want to spend a moment away from his daughter.

The singer and wife Danielle Jonas welcomed little Alena Rose three weeks ago.

According to Kevin, it's hard to focus on anything other than his baby these days.

"Honestly, that's all I'm thinking about and it's awesome," he told E! News at the Hollywood Domino benefit event honouring Artists for Peace and Justice in West Hollywood.

"It's very nice to be here and I'm very excited to be a part of this, but it's definitely hard to be away."

The Jonas Brother went on to explain that since having little Alena, there have been new surprises every day. The little tot reached an important milestone on Wednesday but Kevin wasn't there to see it.

"It is my first time away from being a father," he gushed. "You know, it's amazing having a daughter that every minute you want to be with her.

"And of course she does something awesome. Like she found her thumb yesterday so she started sucking her thumb yesterday and I wasn't there. I didn't see it and I was like, 'UGH!' but it's good."

Being a father for the first time has transformed the musician. Kevin is already certain he and Danielle will have more children.

"We'll have more kids. I'm just not sure when and how many and when we will, but we definitely will have more kids. We want her to have sisters or brothers or whatever we'll have," he explained, adding that brothers Nick and Joe have "been great".

Kevin doesn't know which one of his brothers will be next to embrace fatherhood but for now he is glad they are all doing what they love.

"I have no idea," Kevin said. "I have no idea. You know, at the end of the day as long as they're happy, that's what matters. We'll see what happens."
