Khawaja and Bolton shine in IPL win

Scott Boland and Usman Khawaja have helped the struggling Rising Pune Supergiants to a clinical seven-wicket IPL victory over in-form Delhi Daredevils.

After winning the toss and electing to field, RPS skipper MS Dhonu saw his attack show great discipline to restrict the hosts to 7-162 from their 20 overs.

Victoria seamer Boland finished with figures of 2-31 from his four overs and took the crucial wicket of Carlos Braithwaite for 21 just as the West Indies big-hitting was hitting his straps with three sixes off just eight balls.

Khawaja opened the batting with man of the match Ajinkya Rahane (63no) and helped set a platform with a measured 30 from 27 deliveries before being stumped by Sanju Samson off the bowling of Amit Mishra.

Rahane hit the winning run from the second ball of the final over with Dhoni unbeaten on 27 to end a run of successive defeats and move RPS off the foot of the table with Delhi slipping down to third.
