A second successive century from Usman Khawaja has helped Queensland to 7-266 in their domestic one-day cup match against competition leaders Western Australia at Bankstown Oval in Sydney.
It looked likely to be a much larger total after Khawaja and fellow opener Chris Hartley put on 151 for the opening wicket.
The pair was coming off the back of a domestic record partnership of 280 set in the record-breaking win over Tasmania on Saturday.
Hartley was the first man out for 64, while Khawaja was eventually dismissed caught in the deep for 120.
Former Australia No.3 Khawaja is now comfortably the top run-scorer in the competition after passing 500 runs during his innings.
Western Australia fought back impressively in the latter part of the innings after Queensland had reached 2-214 in the 39th over.
Without rested bowling spearhead Nathan Coulter-Nile, it was left to Nathan Rimmington to lead the fightback with 4-43 from his ten overs.
Second-placed Queensland must win with a bonus point to overhaul Western Australia at the top of the ladder, and advance automatically into Sunday's decider at the SCG.
The Bulls need to bowl out WA for less than 213 to collect an extra point and move straight into the final, avoiding a preliminary final match-up with NSW on Friday.
