Kidnapped ACT toddler found safe and well

Police have found an 18-month-old girl in bushland near Batemans Bay, less than a day after she was kidnapped from Canberra.

A toddler abducted from a Canberra care home by an armed man has been found in bushland near Batemans Bay on the NSW South Coast.

Police found the 18-month-old girl safe and well about 9.15am AEST on Friday after tip-offs from community members.

The girl was taken from the centre in Belconnen, in Canberra's north, at midday on Thursday.
