In-Kyung Kim has emerged from the cold and wet with a four-under 68 to build a two-shot lead at the halfway mark of the Women's British Open.
Katherine Kirk (two-under) and Su-Hyun Oh (one-under) were the only Australians to make the cut after carding 69s at Kingsbarns on Friday.
Karrie Webb was among five Aussies that won't play over the weekend.
The seven-times major winner fired a 72 to remain three-over, alongside countrywoman Stacey Peters (73).
Whitney Hillier, Australia's best performer in the opening round, carded a second round 75 to crash to two-over while Sarah Jane Smith (70) and Minjee Lee (73) finished up at one-over.
Former world No.1 Kiwi Lydia Ko snuck in on the cut line at one-under after her second-round 70.
A two-time winner on the LPGA Tour over the last two months, Kim leads at 11-under.
"I think this was kind of as bad as the weather could get," Kim said.
"I expected rain, but not like this. It's not easy to play in this kind of weather.
"But I feel really good about my game."
England's Georgia Hall (67) and Lexi Thompson (68) are tied for second at nine-under, with the American world No.2 assisted by her caddie Kevin McAlpine, a former looper at Kingsbarns.
"I didn't know what this course was going to bring," Thompson said.
"He's told me every line and what the greens do exactly. It's great to have that local knowledge."
First-round leader Michelle Wie did not fare so well. The 27-year old American made only one birdie in a round of 76 that leaves her seven shots off the pace at four-under.
