A Kings Cross personal trainer has appeared in a Sydney court charged with supplying steroids.

James William Blatch, 26, is accused of selling testosterone, boldenone and oxymetholone on a number of occasions.

He did not apply for bail during a hearing at Parramatta Bail Court on Sunday.

After he was arrested in Sutherland on Friday, police raided a home in Sutherland and a central Sydney business.

Police said vials of steroids, a large number of steroid tablets and GHB were seized.

Blatch's Facebook page refers to him working at Anytime Fitness, on King Cross Rd in nearby Potts Point.

Blatch was charged with several drug offences, including 11 counts of supplying a prohibited drug and three counts of possessing a prohibited drug, following what police say were "extensive inquiries" into steroid supply in the area.

He was formally refused bail and will remain in custody until he fronts Sydney's Central Local Court on Tuesday.
