Kings recruit NBL's first Indian player

The Sydney Kings have signed Indian captain Amritpal Singh for the 2017-18 NBL season.

The Sydney Kings will have the first Indian player in the NBL, with national captain Amritpal Singh signing for next season.

The 26-year-old centre has impressed in trialling with the Kings in the off-season after spending most of his career in Japan.

The 210cm Singh took up basketball at age 19, playing for India a year later.
