An unbeaten 60 from Yusuf Pathan and a quickfire 39 off 24 balls by Andre Russell helped Kolkata Knight Riders beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by five wickets on Monday.
The star-studded hosts scored an imposing 5-185 after being put in to bat by Gautum Gambhir with Virat Kohli and opener Lokesh Rahul both scoring half centuries.
Shane Watson also chipped in with 34 off 21 deliveries after Chris Gayle (7) and AB de Villiers (4) were dismissed cheaply.
The home side looked well on course for victory as they reduced KKR to 4-69 at the halfway stage of their innings, with Queensland's Chris Lyn departing for just 15.
However, Pathan and Russell put on 96 in a fifth-wicket stand from 50 balls with the West Indies allrounder clubbing four sixes in an entertaining knock that earned him the man of the match award.
Watson finished with figures of 1-38 from three overs.
