Kobe Bryant will miss the NBA All-Star game, with the Los Angeles Lakers saying the superstar guard is still suffering pain and swelling in his knee.
Lakers spokesman John Black on Tuesday said Bryant would be examined by team doctors in another three weeks.
"Lakers guard Kobe Bryant ... still has pain and swelling in his left knee," said Black.
"Bryant will continue with a program of non-weight bearing exercise, consisting mostly of working out on a stationary bike."
Bryant returned earlier this season from an achilles tendon tear following seven-and-a-half months of rehabilitation.
He played just six games before being sidelined again in mid-December, this time with a fractured left knee. That injury was initially only supposed to keep him out six weeks.
Despite playing just a half-dozen games, NBA fans still voted Bryant as a starter in the All-Star game which is set for New Orleans on February 16.
