Virat Kohli's record-breaking IPL tournament has continued, smashing a fourth century as he helped his Royal Challengers Bangalore to a rain-affected 82-run win over Kings XI Punjab.
The Indian's 113 came off just 50 balls as he became the first player in the competition's history to surpass 4000 runs.
The innings also moved him past Suresh Raina as the competition's leading run-scorer of all time.
Kohli's century was also his highest in the competition, as he combined with Chris Gayle for a 147-run opening stand in just 11 overs.
The pair each smashed eight sixes, with 64 of Gayle's 73 runs coming in boundaries while Kohli also belted 12 fours.
Bangalore eventually finished with 211 from their rain-shortened 15 overs, while Australian Shane Watson then helped them easily defend the total - taking 2-7 with the ball off two overs to hold Kings XI to 9-120 from 14 overs.
However not even the intermittent rain could dampen Kohli's party.
The 27-year-old has now passed 50 on nine occasions throughout the tournament, his 865 runs coming at an average of 86.50 and at a strike rate of more than 155.
The figure is also the most-ever scored in one tournament, and has wowed both teammates and rivals alike.
"Even if they used a marble @imVkohli would still see it as a balloon. #seriousplayer nothing can stop him," Australian opener David Warner tweeted.
"WOW!!What a player!!Never seen any batsmen play impact innings as consistently as @imVkohli. Take a bow buddy. Keep it up," former Indian batsman VVS Laxman posted.
