Australia's men's hockey team will face hosts India in the quarter-final of the World League Finals after topping Pool B with a decisive win over Argentina.

The Kookaburras sealed an assured 6-1 victory, with Dean Beale, Mark Knowles and Kieran Govers all putting points on the board before Argentina's Facundo Callioni scored in the 32nd minute.

The fightback did little to deter Australia, who replied minutes later with a second goal to Govers, before scoring twice more in the second half through Russell Ford and Kiel Brown.

Meanwhile, India sealed a 3-3 draw with Olympic champions Germany, but still finished bottom of Pool A.

The quarter-final, to be played on Wednesday at 8pm (1.30am on Thursday AEDT), is the 101st meeting between the sides.

They last met at the same stage of the World League semi-final tournament in Rotterdam in June when the Kookaburras ran out 5-1 winners.

In other quarter-final action, New Zealand will face Argentina, while England play Belgium, and Germany meet the Netherlands.
