In-form Carlton ruckman Matthew Kreuzer has done little to hose down speculation over his playing future.
The former No.1 draft pick has been hobbled by foot fractures for the past two seasons but has slowly regained confidence in his body since he played his first AFL game of the season in round 10.
The 26-year-old, who kicked three goals and had 22 hitouts in the Blues' win over Melbourne, is out of contract at the end of the season and will be a restricted free agent.
Kreuzer spoke to reporters on Monday and was asked if he could see himself playing anywhere else next year.
"It's tough to say but at the moment it's just about me continuing to play football," Kreuzer replied.
"I just want to get through (the last two games). It was my main goal since I got back playing and we'll sit down at the end of the year and work it out.
"It's been tough for me over the past two years - I haven't really thought about it - the main focus for me (has been) just getting back on the park.
"I just want to get through these last couple of games and see where it goes but I love the club."
Carlton are expected to name Mick Malthouse's permanent replacement this week but Kreuzer said the new senior coach chosen by the club would have no bearing on his decision-making process.
Former teammate Lachie Henderson made headlines last week when he told the club he would seek a trade at the end of the season and was immediately told his services were no longer required.
Kreuzer backed the Blues' strong stand in sending Henderson packing.
"We're here to play football for the club and when we put that jumper on we go out there to win games," he told the club's website.
"So I think it was important from a club point of view."
