Kylie Minogue surprises Sydney fans

Sydney fans of pop idol Kylie Minogue were treated to a surprise show in an inner city pub.

Kylie Minogue has thrilled fans with an impromptu show in Sydney overnight.

The singer took to the stage at The Beresford Hotel in Surry Hills on Wednesday night to sing the title track, Into the Blue, from her upcoming album, Kiss Me Once.

More than 300 people attended The Beresford to watch Kylie, dressed in a bright red dress, perform at 10.30pm.

Throughout the day Minogue, who arrived in Australia this week to film the Nine Network reality show The Voice - asked her fans on Twitter to suggest where she could party.

Minogue tweeted: "Sydney

I feel like going #intotheblue tonight! Suggestions??"

About an hour later, the star tweeted: "It sounds like The Beresford is the place to be. Who's gonna join me for some fun? @ThePresets @Stereogamous @DJsveta? #KissMeOnceSydney."
