Nick Kyrgios is confident of breaking his duck against former world No.1 Andy Murray at Queen's Club.
Kyrgios rose to 21st in the ATP rankings on Monday following his run to the semi-finals of the Stuttgart Open last week where he lost in an entertaining clash with Roger Federer 7-6 (7-2) 2-6 7-6 (7-5).
He only returned to action in Germany after a two-month injury lay-off due to a troublesome elbow problem and enjoyed an encouraging week at the grass-court event.
Prior to facing Federer Kyrgios accounted for German world No.49 Maximilian Marterer and also the reigning Queen's champion, big-serving Spaniard Feliciano Lopez.
The 23-year admits his clash with Federer left him with mixed emotions but, given he was playing the king of grass-court tennis, he had plenty of positives to take from his performance.
"I played two tough lefties the first couple of rounds, but to play Lopez in my first tournament, he's good on grass and to beat him (was good)."
"I'm obviously pretty disappointed I didn't win against Roger but it was a good match. It was a good week.
"I was in complete control against Roger in the third-set tiebreak at one stage.
"I'm feeling confident. I'm feeling good my level is still there."
Five-time Queen's winner Murray, who has been sidelined with a serious hip injury since Wimbledon last year, boasts a 5-0 record over Kyrgios.
Their only meeting on grass was in the last 16 of Wimbledon two years ago, which Murray went on to win, and Kyrgios said he is delighted to see one of his closest friends on the tour back in action.
"I think it's been pretty s***ty without him," he said.
"I'm looking forward to going out there and playing. But to see him healthy is obviously the main thing. You know, I think he's awesome for the sport."
Kyrgios also said playing one of the finest players of the modern era in front of his home fans and on his best surface won't stop him from having fun on the court.
"I don't know if it's business only and ruthless," he said.
"I don't know if I ever have that mentality. I'm going to go out there and play like I always play.
"I want to serve big and play big and try and win. I'm going to go out there and do the same thing. If I win, I win. If I lose, I lose."
