Australian Nick Kyrgios has defeated little-known Russian Teymuraz Gabashvili in straight sets to reach the quarter-finals of the Marseille Open in France.

Nick Kyrgios has won through to the quarter-finals of the Marseille Open in France.

Kyrgios had little trouble in defeating Russian Teymuraz Gabashvili in straight sets, claiming the 6-4 6-4 victory without dropping a game on serve.

The only Australian in the draw will now go on to face Richard Gasquet, who is fresh off winning the Open Sude de France in Montpellier.
