Australia's Nick Kyrgios has won through to the last 16 of the Marseille Open after defeating Canadian Vasek Pospisil.

Nick Kyrgios is through to the last 16 of the Marseille Open in France.

Kyrgios beat Canada's Vasek Pospisil 6-4 6-4 to set up a second round meeting with Teymuraz Gabashvili, who upset tournament No.5 seed Gilles Simon.

The world No.41 is the only Australian in the draw with Stan Wawrinka the tournament's top seed.
