Deputy Premier and Nationals Leader Troy Grant said his party has a clear and transparent plan to tackle the issue of CSG.

NSW state Labor has no credibility on the issue of coal seam gas, Deputy Premier Troy Grant says.

Mr Grant, the leader of the Nationals Party representing rural and regional areas, says the issue is all about striking the right balance and giving people what they want.

"If that area is CSG free ... we are doing it through a transparent, clear and accountable plan, not with some motherhood statement from Labor," Mr Grant told Sky News.

"They have no credibility on the issue."
