The Labor Party says it would provide $5 million to a program that helps recent refugees and migrants learn English and search for a job if it wins next month's election.

The Minister for Multicultural Affairs Kate Lundy says the funding would help the Adult Migrant English Program create links with employers and industry.

Senator Lundy told Ildi Amon migrants face a range of challenges in finding work and that employment opportunities are changing.
