Labor ramps up attack on Nash in Senate

Labor will ramp up its attack against cabinet minister Fiona Nash over her citizenship, seeking to block her from procedural duties in the Senate.

Labor will ramp up its attack against cabinet minister Fiona Nash, seeking to block her from procedural duties in the Senate until the High Court has determined her eligibility.

Senator Nash has been under opposition attack since revealing in August she was a dual-citizen and refused to stand down from her ministerial responsibilities until the court determines whether she is eligible to remain in parliament.

Labor will move a motion in the Senate on Tuesday that Senator Nash be barred from procedural duties, such as presenting documents, until her matter is resolved.
