Los Angeles Lakers point guard Steve Blake will miss at least six weeks after tearing a ligament in his right elbow, the NBA team said on Thursday.

Blake tore the ulnar collateral ligament in the second half of the Lakers' 100-86 victory over Sacramento on November 24 and has been playing through the injury since.

"I'm still a little shocked right now," Blake said.

The Lakers are already without point guards Steve Nash and Jordan Farmar. NBA veteran Nash is out indefinitely with a chronic nerve issue in his back, and Farmar has a torn hamstring and isn't expected to play again until January.

Kobe Bryant, recently returned to action after surgery in April to repair a torn left Achilles tendon, is expected to handle point guard duties over the Lakers' upcoming four-game road trip.
