Landslide risks have forced authorities to close Victoria's Great Ocean Road again.

The popular tourist route is closed from The Boulevarde, Wye River to Stanway Drive Separation Creek after rainfall on Sunday increased the risk of landslides.

Traffic management points are being set up at Hird Street, Lorne, and Great Ocean Road, Skenes Creek, to alert drivers and detour signage is in place.

The road is not expected to reopen before Monday morning.
