More than 100 police and volunteers will embark on a fresh search in and around Perth, south of Launceston, on Saturday for missing man Ben Plowright, last seen almost a fortnight ago.

The 20-year old had been drinking at a party which he left about 9pm on May 30 and has not been seen since, despite widespread searching including dives of a nearby river.

Mounted SES volunteers and a cadaver dog will be part of the latest effort and police have asked local residents to allow teams access to properties.
