Last piece of election puzzle complete

The writs for the Senate and House of Representatives elections have been returned, ending the May 18 election count process.

The formal legal process for the federal election has been completed.

The Australian Electoral Commission said on Friday the writs for the Senate and House of Representatives elections had now been returned.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison will govern with 77 seats in the lower house but fell four seats short in the Senate to command a majority.
