British No.1 Laura Robson has withdrawn from the ASB Classic tennis tournament in Auckland because of injury.

The 19-year-old Robson, who is ranked 44 in the world, injured her left wrist, forcing her out of the WTA Tour event beginning on Monday.

Austrian Tamira Paszek, a quarter-finalist at Wimbledon in 2012, will move into the main draw as the final wildcard.

Italy's Roberta Vinci, the world No.14, is the top seed for the tournament, which has two major drawcards in American Venus Williams and Serbia's Ana Ivanovic.
