Lay day at Margaret River Pro

A lay day has been called on Tuesday at the Margaret River Pro surfing competition.

High onshore winds and a decreasing swell have prompted organisers to call a lay day at the Margaret River Pro.

The third and fourth rounds of the women's competition were completed on Monday, with Australians Tyler Wright, Sally Fitzgibbons, Stephanie Gilmore and Laura Enever all advancing to the quarter-finals.

The next call on conditions will be made at 0630 local time (0830 AEST) on Wednesday.
