However, Legia lost 6-0 at home to German side Borussia Dortmund, their biggest loss in Europe, and are facing possible sanctions from UEFA for crowd trouble.

European governing body will take the decision on Sept. 28.

Assistant coach Aleksandar Vukovic will act as caretaker manager while the club searches for Hasi's replacement.

"The assistant coach Aleksandar Vukovic will be a caretaker as of Monday," club said.
