Leonardo DiCaprio eyes theatre move

Leonardo DiCaprio says he might take time off from Hollywood after the awards season to work on plays.

Leonardo DiCaprio is considering taking a break from the film industry to spend time working in theatre.

The Wolf of Wall Street star says he's been thinking about a stint on stage for several years, but has never managed to find time in his work schedule to follow his dream.

The 39-year-old actor has now revealed he plans to spend some time away from filmmaking to tread the boards once his awards season commitments come to a close.

"I'm going to get all of this - the awards and travelling - over with and maybe, just maybe, there will be a play," he told Britain's Daily Mail.

"I've actually been looking at plays, and I have read a bunch of stuff.

"I would love to do it.

"I have thought about theatre on and off over the years, but other things kept getting in the way. Maybe now's the time," DiCaprio said.
