Less distinction between SBS, ABC: Scott

Outgoing ABC managing director Mark Scott says there is less distinction between the broadcaster and SBS than there once was.

Outgoing ABC boss Mark Scott believes it might be time to rethink the relationship between Australia's two public broadcasters.

Appearing before his last Senate estimates hearing, Mr Scott said co-operation between SBS and the ABC was challenging from time to time, but it was an issue for the federal government.

"I think it is a matter that is worthy of investigation down the track," he said on Tuesday.
