Ramadan, the Muslim holy month of fasting, has begun. During this month, Muslim believers abstain from eating, drinking, smoking and having sex from dawn until sunset. But not everyone is finding it easy.

Ramadan, the Muslim holy month of fasting, begun last weekend. During this month, Muslim believers abstain from eating, drinking, smoking and having sex from dawn until sunset. But not everyone is finding it easy.

The hashtag #Ramandanproblems has flooded social media platforms over the past week, with believers using it to share their fasting experience, albeit in a tongue-in-cheek manner. 

"These fasts are not very fast are they #RamadanProblems" one user wrote. Another remarked, "I think I just watched my clock go from 2:54 to 2:53. I'm not joking #RamadanProblems"

"Staring at the fridge like it's your ex #Ramadanproblems," said @saadabdulhai.

The hashtag mimics the more commonly used #firstworldproblems, where people jokingly lament over how hard life is in the First World.
