Libs to hold Boothby according to SA poll

A new opinion poll suggests the Liberal Party will hold South Australia's most marginal seat of Boothby at Saturday's federal election.

First-term Liberal MP Nicolle Flint is on track to hold South Australia's most marginal seat of Boothby at Saturday's federal election, a new poll shows.

The YouGov Galaxy poll prepared for The Advertiser has support for Ms Flint at 57 per cent compared to 43 per cent for Labor's Nadia Clancy on a two-party preferred basis.

That would deliver Ms Flint a slightly increased majority if it's reflected on election day.

She currently holds the seat with a margin of 2.7 per cent.

The poll quizzed 520 voters in Boothby in Adelaide's southwest and showed little support for Clive Palmer's United Australia Party.

Only three per cent of voters said they would give the UAP their first preference vote.

It also revealed strong support for Prime Minister Scott Morrison with 49 per cent considering him their preferred PM compared to 36 per cent for Opposition Leader Bill Shorten.
