Lillyman, Hoffman only Warriors changes

Jacob Lillyman and Ryan Hoffman have been named to back up from Origin in the only changes to the Warriors' starting 13 to face Gold Coast.

Prop Jacob Lillyman and second rower Ryan Hoffman have been named to back up from State of Origin for the Warriors' NRL match against Gold Coast in Robina.

Their inclusions are the only changes to the Warriors starting 13 to face the Titans on Saturday.

Lillyman and Hoffman replace Albert Vete and Raymond Faitala-Mariner, who are both included on a five-man bench.

Fullback Sam Tomkins, originally named in the side for the previous two rounds before being a late withdrawal both times, will miss a third game in a row as he continues to recover from a knee injury.

Assistant coach Andrew Webster says Tomkins is doing all he can to get back on the field and his situation is frustrating for everyone concerned.

"But that's typical of a knee injury like his making him a week-to-week proposition," he said.

"He'll keep working at it and we'll keep giving him every opportunity."

Warriors: Tuimoala Lolohea, Ken Maumalo, Konrad Hurrell, Solomone Kata, Manu Vatuvei, Chad Townsend, Shaun Johnson, Jacob Lillyman, Nathan Friend, Ben Matulino, Bodene Thompson, Ryan Hoffman, Simon Mannering (capt). Interchange (from): Siliva Havili, Sebastine Ikahihifo, Raymond Faitala-Mariner, Charlie Gubb, Albert Vete.
