Lindsay Thomas given one-match AFL ban

North Melbourne's Lindsay Thomas has been offered a one-game suspension for his high hit in round six of the AFL season.

North Melbourne's Lindsay Thomas is set to sit out round seven of the AFL season as a result of his high hit on Lachie Hunter.

Thomas can accept a one-match ban for his coathanger on Hunter.

The 28-year-old will risk a two-game suspension if he challenges the match review panel's verdict at the tribunal.

Thomas' blow, which prompted several Western Bulldogs players to remonstrate, was assessed as "careless conduct with medium impact to the head" by the panel.

Undefeated ladder leaders North face St Kilda at Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

Adelaide's Kyle Hartigan and Brisbane midfielder Tom Bell were the only other players charged following round six but both escaped with fines.

Hartigan was charged with engaging in rough conduct against Fremantle forward Michael Walters.

Bell was booked for striking Sydney's Jake Lloyd.

Both Hartigan and Bell can accept $1000 fines.

Incidents involving Ben Stratton and Luke Hodge were both assessed but the panel cleared both Hawthorn players.
