A man has been charged with vandalising the Lindt Cafe in Sydney's Martin Place after rocks were allegedly thrown through the cafe's windows.

The venue is also the scene of last year's siege that left three people dead, including the gunman Man Haron Monis.

An inquest into the incident continues in Sydney.

SBS reporter Alyshia Gates has been following developments and she's speaking with Santilla Chingaipe.
