Australia's archery team is eying another possible Rio qualifier with Queenslander Semra Lingard racing through the individual competition at the world championships in Copenhagen.
The 25-year-old is into the final 32 of the women's recurve, after beating Spain's Miriam Alarcon, and then highly-rated Vietnamese archer Le Thi Thu Hien in the first two rounds of elimination.
Lingard, who qualified 48th for the elimination rounds, will take on 64th ranked German, Lisa Unruh, for a place in the top 16.
The best eight archers from countries who did not qualify a team for Rio earlier this week will book tickets to next year's event.
Unlike the men, the Australian women did not qualify their team for Rio, opening the door for Lingard to qualify for an individual berth.
