Link grows first-half earnings

Shares in financial data firm Link Group have risen after it posted a small lift in revenue and profit for the first half of 2016/17.

Financial data administrator Link Group has lifted first-half revenue and profit and says it is carrying "good momentum" into its full-year result.

Link, which provides data administration services to superannuation funds and corporations, posted a net profit of $41.4 million for the six months to December 31, up from a $4.1 million loss in the previous first half affected by costs associated with its listing on the ASX in late 2015.

Link's posted revenue up 0.9 per cent to $395.8 million and declared an interim dividend of six cents a share, unfranked, while shares in the company were up 4.7 per cent to $7.54 at 1114 AEDT.
