Lino replaces injured Green for Warriors

Mason Lino has been ushered into the Warriors' NRL team to face Melbourne following an injury to Blake Green.

Warriors five-eighth Blake Green has been ruled out of the NRL match against Melbourne with a rib injury.

Green will fail to play for the first time this season because of a blow suffered late in last week's win over Brisbane.

His place in Sunday's clash at Mt Smart Stadium is taken by Samoan international Mason Lino, who will make his sixth appearance of the season and his first for more than two months.

Another player lost to injury is utility back Peta Hiku (hand), who was originally named on the interchange bench.

Green and Hiku are expected to be fit for next week's match against Gold Coast.
