Lion Hanley unlikely to face Kangaroos

Brisbane Lions coach Justin Leppitsch says vice-captain Pearce Hanley is unlikely to take on North Melbourne on Saturday night.

Brisbane Lions vice-captain Pearce Hanley looks set to miss Saturday night's clash with North Melbourne at the Gabba due to injury.

Hanley was subbed out of the bottom-placed Lions' loss to Melbourne at the weekend after straining his right hamstring and could be out for a longer stretch as it could be back related.

Coach Justin Leppitsch said Hanley was "unlikely" to face the Kangaroos with the club's medical department still to determine the full extent of the injury.
