Locals attend peace rally in Jerusalem in wake of 'revenge attacks'

The Palestinian leadership says it holds Israel responsible for the murder of an east Jerusalem teenager, in a suspected revenge attack for the killing of three Israelis.

The Palestinian leadership says it holds Israel responsible for the murder of an east Jerusalem teenager, in a suspected revenge attack for the killing of three Israelis.

The violence has triggered a wave of rioting in the east Jerusalem neighbourhood of Shuafat, with hundreds of masked Palestinians hurling stones at Israeli police in riot gear.

However, footage has emerged on Facebook showing people attending a peace rally in Jerusalem in the wake of these killings.

User Chaim Landau posted this video below, writing: "Tag Meir in action. Jerusalem Council woman Rachel Azaria is now speaking, saying that we all, Haredim, secular, religious Zionists and Palestinians are against violence, in our city and everywhere."
