Lockdown lifted but Qld man still on run

A man remains on the run in Toowoomba after causing a lockdown at three schools.

The lockdown of three Toowoomba schools has been lifted but the search continues for a man on the run from police.

Glenvale Christian School, Darling Downs Christian School and Glenvale State School were forced into lockdown around 11am, after a man failed to stop his car for police before running off in the west Toowoomba suburb of Glenvale.

Initial reports suggesting the man was carrying a gun were unconfirmed, police say.

There's no current threat to school students or residents, a Queensland Police spokeswoman said.
