Sonja Yelich the mother of NZ international pop star Lorde has jokingly threatened her family with Lorde quilts for Christmas.

Lorde's mum has taken the mickey by threatening to buy her family quilt covers featuring the pop sensation's face.

Sonja Yelich posted a picture of the product featuring the head of her 18-year-old daughter Ella Yelich-O-Connor on Instagram to her family this week.

"Guess what y'all getting for Christmas!" she wrote.

"JOKINGGG."

Daughter Jerry wasn't impressed.

"Oh my god. No," she replied.

Fans however, posted the praise for the item.

"Honestly, it's pretty creepy, but it would be cool to have one LOL," one wrote.
