Luatua joins lengthy Blues injury list

Stand-in Blues skipper Steven Luatua will miss next week's Super Rugby clash against the Hurricanes after dislocating his shoulder against the Bulls.

The Blues' 23-18 Super Rugby win over the Bulls at Eden Park on Friday hasn't come without cost.

Stand-in skipper Steven Luatua dislocated his shoulder early in the second half, and a Blues spokesman says the 14-Test All Blacks loose forward will miss at least next week's 15th round match against the Hurricanes in Auckland.

More information is expected early next week.

The injury continues a horrendous run for the Blues, who last week lost regular captain Jerome Kaino for the rest of the season with a compound dislocation of his ring finger.

He was joined by fullback Charles Piutau, who has medial ligament knee damage.

Test lock Patick Tuipulotu is still under an injury cloud with a groin strain, waiting on results from further tests to see if surgery is necessary.
