Luck in contention at Web.com season ender

Curtis Luck has moved into a three-way tie for second at the Web.com Tour Championship, just one shot off the leader.

Australia's Curtis Luck is just a shot off the pace after the third round of the Web.com Tour Championship.

Sepp Straka is the 54-hole leader at 18 under with Luck matching the Austrian's seven-under 64 on Saturday to sit in a share of second.

"Obviously, it just comes down to keeping that momentum going and trying not to change anything," Luck said.

"That's the really important thing and I felt like I did that really well.

"I played really aggressive on the back nine, still went after a lot of shots and I hit it close a lot out there."

Luck came into the tournament in 16th place on the money list during the four-event Web.com Tour Finals series and with the top 25 earners getting PGA Tour cards on Sunday the 22-year-old appears almost certain to be among them.

Second-round leader Lucas Glover (68) and Denny McCarthy (67) are alongside Luck at 17 under.

Straka birdied his final three holes to grab the lead at Atlantic Beach Country Club.

"It's always good to get an extra birdie in late. I got three of them to finish, which was nice," Straka said.

"It's very bunched up there, so you can't really take off, you've got to keep the pedal down and see where you end up at the end."

Australians Brett Drewitt and Cameron Davis, who last month secured his PGA Tour card for next season, both carded rounds of 67 to be at 13 under in a tie for 12th.
